About the Business

Privately run Elmwood playgroup has been in existence since 1961 and is situated within Elmwood Community Centre. Elmwood was originally built as a grand family house in 1873, but has since existed as a community centre since 1952. It stands in attractive grassed and wooded grounds. We treat all our children as individuals and offer stimulating fun activities and experiences in a caring, friendly atmosphere.

We are now rated as ‘OUTSTANDING' - Ofsted 2nd April 2014 and our latest Ofsted report can be viewed online. We follow the EYFS of the national curriculum. During tour summer term we have a traditional sports day in the grounds. In December we have a Christmas concert in our larger main hall for parents and carers to enjoy.
