2014 sees Henwood playgroup celebrating 46 years of delivering quality childcare in the community of Compton. If you would like to become involved do not hesitate to approach either a member of staff or a committee member. You will be warmly welcomed! Numerous fund raising events take place during the year, plus social evenings arranged so that you can join in as much or as little as you'd like. Staff members are called "Aunties" by the children. We have Auntie Sandra (staff member for 20 years), Auntie Chris and Auntie Jane (8years+ each).
Playgroup is welcoming and caring and offers fun and stimulating activities which meet the standards of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum set by the Department of Education. Opening hours are 9.15 a.m to 11.45 a.m Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, term time only. The cost of each session is £6.90, paid half termly in advance. A registration fee of £15 is payable on joining and with this your child receives a playgroup sweatshirt.
