About the Business

St Nicholas Day Nursery has a large number of highly qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioners, many of whom have worked at the nursery for several years. Aside from our bank/relief staff, the majority of the remaining staff work in designated rooms to ensure the children feel safe and secure. We operate a 'Key Person' system giving parents the opportunity to liaise with a specific person to discuss their child's progress. We currently have two trained SENCO's. Tracey Beckworth and Janet Bryant- Wells.

Their shared responsibility is to oversee and implement all aspects of learning and care for those children who require additional support, whilst working closely with parents and the Birth to Five Service. We have two cooks, Lynda Taylor and Jo Houlden, who work very closely with the children, staff and parents to create a varied 5 week rolling menu. They ensure that all dietary requirements are met and catered for. Students are not included in our staff to child ratios.
