About the Business

Here at The Malthouse we recognise our children learn at an individual pace and that every one of our children is special and unique. We believe children should learn through open play and having fun. We also believe that by fostering independence we trust our children to succeed. Therefore our children relish the opportunities to explore and try new activities for themselves. In doing this they are provided with opportunities to think for themselves and to make their own decisions, and with staff always on hand to encourage, support and listen to the child's needs we are able to question and offer alternative suggestions and choices, promoting independent thinking and learning. Our children benefit from individual time with staff as well as enjoying time within the group. We observe and monitor the progress of each child, recording their time with us in their individual learning journals. Our Learning Journal s are our way of sharing your child's experiences and achievements with you.
