Here at Grasmere Nursery School & Tadpoles Baby and Toddler Unit we offer education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years. Our staff members across both provisions are experienced, well-qualified, friendly and approachable. We are in a wonderful setting with plenty of outdoor play space, including our own lovely orchard!
We would like to welcome you to our Nursery and to inform you of some background and other useful information about our setting. Lily's Day Nursery has been established since 1998 and now provides full day care for children aged 3 months to 8 years old. It is based in Ridgemond Training but is a separate unit which is open and available to all. The Nursery is located on the ground floor and has wheelchair access to the main building and double doors to the Nursery.
As Registered Childminders, our duties and responsibilities are centred on children's development and progress. We work with children aged between 3 months to 8 years, from all backgrounds. Our work require us to be responsible for the care and safety of your children during their stay with us at Bright Buttons. We continually monitor the development of new teaching methods, and any new regulations that might improve the progress of the children in our care.

We provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age. Working in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop we offer a service that promotes equality and values diversity. The nursery is open from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday for 50 weeks a year, closing for one week at Christmas and one week at Whitsun (May/June).
We are a private childcare setting, offering excellent quality care for children aged from two years until they start full time school in Reception aged 4/5 years. Free, Government funded sessions are available from the term following your child's third birthday and for two year olds meeting the criteria set out by Hertfordshire County Council.

The Children's Centre will be closed from Saturday 20th December 2014 until Tuesday 2nd January 2015. In an emergency go to the Useful Information page on our website. Some children's centres will provide full day-care and other facilities on-site, whilst others operate under a hub and spoke system. A small ‘hub' base exists from where the centre is co-ordinated as well as being an easy-to-reach contact point for parents and professionals.
