About the Business

Wren House is a small, privately owned nursery that has been running for 13 years in the heart of Old Town, offering full day or sessional care to children aged 1 to 5 years. Our objective is to stimulate your child through play, developing their learning experience in preparation for school, whilst ensuring that you child has fun and thrives in this new social environment. We are Ofsted inspected and accept the EYEE (Early Years Funding) towards nursery places for 3 and 4 year olds, which entitle your child to up to 15 hours a week, for 38 weeks of the year, to be funded.

We recognise the importance for pre-school education and the need to prepare children for school. With this in mind, we strive to achieve specific learning goals for each child with the focus clearly on learning through play and having fun by following the Early Years Foundation Stage. Staff help children to learn by observing them at play and deciding when to leave them alone and when to join in.
